### Public Beta Feature

This documentation covers a feature currently in Public Beta. Access is available to anyone interested in building personalized experiences for their end-users.

### API Parameters

#### ll
- **Type**: string  
- **Required**: Yes  
- The latitude/longitude around which to retrieve place information. This must be specified as latitude,longitude (e.g., ll=41.8781,-87.6298). **Required if `near` is not specified.**

#### near
- **Type**: string  
- A string naming a place in the world. If the near string is not geocodable, returns a failed_geocode error. Otherwise, searches within the bounds of the geocode and adds a geocode object to the response. **Required if `ll` is not specified.**

#### radius
- **Type**: int32  
- Limit results to venues within this many meters of the specified location. Defaults to a city-wide area. Only valid for requests that use categoryId or query. The maximum supported radius is currently 100,000 meters.

#### limit
- **Type**: int32  
- Number of results to return; up to 50.

#### accept
- **Type**: string enum  
- Defaults to application/json. Allowed: `application/json`, `text/plain`.

### API Response Structure

#### 200 Response 
- **Type**: object  
- Successful response containing a list of trending venues.

    - Defaults to 0  
    - Status code indicating the result of the trending venues API request.  
  - **requestId**: string  
    - Unique request identifier.

- Response object containing trending venues near the user's location.

- Array of trending venues near the user's location.

**Example Venue**:  
- **id**: string  
  - Unique identifier for trending venues.  
- **location**:  
  - **object**  
    - The location of the venues returned by a successful trending venues request.
  - **name**: string  
    - The name of the trending venue.
